Q. CAN I STILL USE A STRAIGHTENER IF MY HAIR IS A BIT STRESSED?
A. Now and then, yes. But, you need to take a few precautions to protect you hair’s natural beauty. First, make sure your hair is completely dry. Second, use a heat protection spray. It forms a protective film to prevent heat damage, and also has a regenerating effect. Third, set the temperature of your straightener as low as possible: 130°C for fine hair and 170°C for thick hair. Our SWISS’X AGILITY IONIC straightener allows you to set the temperature digitally, and will store your preferred setting for subsequent use. Another advantage of the SWISS’X AGILITY IONIC is the extra powerful ions generator, plus Ceramic Tourmaline Technology. Especially great for sensitive hair, these help retain the natural moisture content of your hair, giving you sleek results and a full, healthy look time and time again.
Q. CAN I USE A STRAIGHTENER ON DAMP OR WET HAIR?
A. This is not recommended. It’s best to dry your hair completely because damp hair is too sensitive for styling. Thoroughly dried hair will give you better results, and will also prevent long-term damage.
Q. CAN I USE A HAIR STRAIGHTENER TO CREATE CURLS? HOW DOES IT WORK?
A. Yes, our range of SWISS’X straighteners are perfect for creating seductive curls or waves by twisting strands of hair between the plates. Work on small sections of your hair at a time, starting at the base of your neck and around your ears. Clamp the strands that you wish to curl, then turn the straightener back on itself for half a turn before moving it down the strand. For a tighter curl, turn the straightener for a full turn and move it slower along the strand. For best results, get a friend to help. With a bit of practice, you’ll even be able to master the technique for yourself to create your own head-turning look.
